I can now control my 2+ year old RX-A660 receiver with “ask MusicCast to set input to Chromecast” or “turn down the volume in the Living Room”, etc. The amazing sound is thanks to the two-way speaker design coupled with Yamaha’s DSP magic. Yamaha charges too much for it by adding overpriced wireless music streaming which you can add to most any stereo setup for around $100 with a Wiim Mini if you need WiFi streaming. So connection is OK. The NS line was a home Hi-Fi product line with all sorts of various configurations and models that were discontinued through the decades that went by. The basics are functioning fine, but I can’t link MusicCast to another device without the app crashing and net radio is on the old discontinued server so extremely limited choices. I was using the stock firmware with Logitech Squeezebox add on.
